Windows 8 – What can you expect from the upgraded version?


There has been the final arrival of the Windows 8 upgraded version, so that it can create the magical tiles live on your computer. After you get the new upgraded version:
Windows 8 setup is going to check the whole of the system to find if it is compatible. However, the hardware requirements for you to get the upgraded version are as follows:
  1. The processor will have to be 1GHz or it can be better if it is faster with the support for PAE, NX, and also the SSE2
  2. RAM will have to be of at least 1GB of you are going for the 32-bit version. It will have to be 2GB if you are going to opt for the 64-bit version
  3. You may need a hard disk space of 16GB for the version with 32-bit. It will need the disk space of 20GB for the version of 64-bit.
  4. The graphics card will have to be the Microsoft DirectX9 graphics device which has the WDDM driver
Some of the other things which you will have to keep in mind are you can’t jump in between 32 and 64-bit while you are in the middle of the up-gradation process. So, if yours is a 64-bit version and if you want to go up to the 64-bit OS, you will be required to buy the boxed version of the Windows 8 System Builder. Then, you will be required to install this in full. If you are planning to go by the digital route, you will be required to have an Internet connection and enough time so that you can download the version completely. Microsoft has given a rough estimation that this package in full is going to be around 2GB, and will also require you to provide almost 90 minutes, so that the process gets completed.
